Recurring Class
Give your little one extra confidence to move, groove, and speak! Level 1 classes allow young toddlers to explore new movements, objects, and words, while learning basic music concepts. Families also discover how to create better daily routines with music.
Months with more or fewer than 4 classes will be adjusted as we go.
Digital albums, narrated e-books, and more are available on our password-protected family platform, accessible via desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.

Kindermusik Level 1
Kindermusik Level 1 classes give young toddlers room to explore! This special group experience gives toddlers a chance to learn new movement and language skills through dance, creative movement, echo songs, and more.
- Body Awareness
As toddlers move in different ways, they begin to understand their own bodies and develop self-control of movement. - Gross- and Fine-Motor Skills
Toddlers begin to develop basic gross-motor skills and coordination, as well as better control over fine-motor movement. - Math and Language Fundamentals
Toddlers begin to recognize patterns in music and have an increased sense of steady beat, both skills linked to math and language.

Studio Policy
Payment Policies
You must arrange for payment of your classes in order for your registration to be completed. Most classes run continuously from September to May/June, with tuition charged monthly. A deposit is required at the time of registration to hold your spot. If you prefer not to use a credit card we can accept e-transfers or post-dated cheques. You will need to email us at the office to register without a credit card.
Withdrawal
If you wish to discontinue please notify us prior to the next billing date. If you must withdraw please contact us by email. Any refunds will be calculated from the date of notification and will include the cost of any Home Materials you were issued. NOTE: Our most advanced classes, Level 4 (Kindermusik Musicians) and Level 5, require a commitment to a full term of 30 lessons. However, Level 4 and 5 will not be offered in the 2024-25 season)
Kindermusik Playdates or other SINGLE CLASS experiences - 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.
Health Precautions
Specific Covid precautions are no longer in place, but RSV and other contagious illnesses are still prevalent. Your teacher may choose to wear a mask. If your family have symptoms of any kind, do not come to class. Stay home and we will book a make-up class for you when everyone is healthy. We ask for your co-operation in keeping your teacher healthy, and to protect the youngest babies.
Photographs
We will not be taking photos of the children in class. You can take photos or video of your own child and your instructor, but please do not include other members of the class without their permission.
Discounts and Prorates
You may be eligible for any of the following discounts. Our office will apply it before your card is charged. Email us with any questions!
1. Referral Rewards - if you refer a friend who enrols in a class, we will credit your account with $20 when they mention your referral.
2. For Level 4 (Kindermusik Musicians) and Level 5 there is a discount if you are reusing a glockenspiel, dulcimer or carry bag from an older child. Email us so we know you have it! Amount varies.
3. Prorating – if you are joining us after the September start date we might be in the middle of a billing cycle. An adjustment will be made to either your first or second payment to get you in sync with everyone else.
Make-up Classes
You have unlimited make-up classes as long as you are enrolled. You can attend any other class of the same age level. This is a great time for a grandparent, aunt or uncle to bring your child to a class you might not otherwise be able to fit in your schedule.
Your make-ups expire as soon as you cease to be enrolled. There will be no refunds or credits given if you decide not to use them. If you re-enrol at a later time, you may use those expired make-ups. If you are traveling, we recommend booking a make-up or two before you go, and maybe afterwards as well.
Text Messages
If at all possible, please ensure there is a cell phone number on your contact info. We are using this as an alternate form of contact for the many families who do not receive email reliably. We will limit using it to important or urgent communications. With your enrolment you give consent for us to send text messages. (If you do not have a cell phone you will receive the message by email.)
Email and Privacy Policy
Email is the primary form of communication for important information about your Kindermusik class (statements, changes, cancellations, snowstorms etc). Please provide an email address that you actively use. Your personal information will be used by us for class, registration and payment purposes, and will not be shared.
Release of Liability
With this enrollment, I release any and all rights and claims for damages against Nancy Aasland, Kindermusik Discovery, and its staff in the unlikely event of injury or illness sustained by myself or my child(ren) during the course of or as a result of my enrollment at Kindermusik Discovery.
