Recurring Class
Did you know sound recognition begins in the womb? Foundations classes are all about exploring and reacting to new sounds, objects, and movements. Plus, parents and caregivers heighten connections with their babies by learning bonding techniques.
Monthly payments do not reflect a certain number of classes in a month; the cost is all classes in an entire year divided into equal payments. Holidays/closings are taken into account. If you are enrolling mid-month, your tuition will be prorated to reflect only the number of classes left in the month.
Digital albums, narrated e-books, and more are available on our password-protected family platform, accessible via desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.

Kindermusik Foundations
The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.

- Movement Control
Different movement activities help babies strengthen their core muscles, which increases their sense of balance and control over movements. - Social Adaptability
Group activities allow babies to experience familiar and unfamiliar social experiences in a safe and secure way. - Listening and Communication Skills
Listening to music and doing vocal play exercises helps develop a baby’s back-and-forth communication skills. - Language and Literacy Development
Introducing spoken sounds and rhythms through songs and rhymes helps support language and literacy development.
Ms. Katherine
Katherine Knight, a native of Richmond, Virginia, has spent many years as an educator and musician. She grew up studying piano, voice, and violin, and performed in numerous local symphonies and musical productions. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she has a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in music. Katherine taught in the public schools for five years, providing her students with a compassionate teacher who always conveyed her love of music and children. She brings these two loves together again in her Kindermusik classes and private lessons. She has been a licensed Kindermusik Educator since 2003, helping children of all ages grow and learn through music. She is also the proud mother of 4 young children whom she adores!

Studio Policy
- All classes and enrollments for ongoing classes continue automatically unless you withdraw via the "change my enrollment" form on our website. This must be done before the last day of the month in order to stop your enrollment for the following month.
- Monthly payments are run on the 1st of the month and do not reflect a certain number of classes in a month; the cost is all classes in an entire year divided into equal payments. Holidays/closings are taken into account. We only charge for 45 weeks in a year, not 52.
- Playdates and summer classes/camps have no re-occurring fees. Tuition is due at the time of enrollment and is non-refundable. Missed classes will not refunded or rescheduled.
