Need something for the whole family? Mixed Age classes are designed for little ones at different developmental levels to make music together. Families build connection, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.
Parents get home materials and streaming of music on the Kindermusik in app. Scholarships are provided by the City of Huntington, Modern Foods, Limitless Chiropractic, Walky Talky Speech Therapy, and Uptown Musik themselves- thank you!
Digital albums, narrated e-books, and more are available on our password-protected family platform, accessible via desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.

Kindermusik Mixed Age
Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
Laken Reeves
Laken Reeves grew up in Boyd County before attending the University of Louisville and earning a degree in Industrial Engineering. Along came her two daughters, Eleanor and Eden, and raising well-rounded kids became her passion. Music has always been an interest of Laken’s. Because of the benefits music had on her own children (and the fun they had together!), Laken became passionate about sharing music education with others. Beyond the cognitive, physical, and musical benefits of Kindermusik, Laken puts an emphasis on building community among parents and caregivers in her class. You and your children are sure to feel welcomed and loved when you attend one of her classes!

When you choose an Uptown Musik Kindermusik class, you're choosing a ten-time award winning music program for your child. We will sing, dance, imagine, and play instruments together. We'll learn musical terms, but to your child it just feels like a magical, musical world. Our teachers are hand-picked with music degrees, years of experience working with children, are teachers in public schools, or all of the above. We hope to see you soon!
