How does group piano class work? Children want to be with friends, they want to feel included! Our small-group setting encourages teamwork, creativity, and confidence as children learn piano skills. Students are motivated by their peers, learn and work as a team, and enjoy game-based learning together. Group piano classes develop a strong sense of rhythm and timing through ensemble play - something you just can't get as a beginner in a private lesson. There is a balance between group activities and one-on-one attention from their teacher. The world of piano unfolds through creativity and joy, tailored specifically for 4-6 year olds. Our beginner piano program is a musical adventure that sparks curiosity and sets the stage for a lifelong love of music.
Students registered in KeyNotes will pay a $40 Materials Fee to cover all materials for the class. All Keyboards and headphones will be provided. Materials fee will be charged upon registration and is non-refundable. Monthly Fee will be charged on the 15th of each month of lessons and ongoing while student is enrolled. Your monthly membership includes weekly class & all materials, makeup classes when available, and access to online KeyNotes resources.
Jill Hockemeyer
Jill Hockemeyer is the founder of Joyful Musicians, teaching Kindermusik classes to babies through early elementary school children. Jill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. She is the mother of four children, all of whom were enrolled in Kindermusik classes as young children. Jill has spent most of her time raising children and volunteering at their schools, but has also taught preschool classes and computer classes to elementary children.
