Group Piano

Join us in our "storybook world" as we journey together but play our own, unique music along with the pictures and words to a variety of stories. This improvisational approach to piano will have your child playing beautiful music - sounds, rhythms, and melodies across the entire piano - all while developing piano technique and theoretical concepts, musical expression, and confidence. The fun and supportive group setting will help your child feel relaxed and comfortable to inspire learning and creativity! Each semester will conclude with a special piano showcase that families are encouraged to attend.
NOTE: To help cement the musical concepts and help your child progress, it is expected that each student will spend time playing the piano outside of class with a grownup's help. Therefore, please have access to an acoustic or full-sized digital piano. Practice materials will be provided, and "practice projects" will be discussed each week in class. We can't wait to get started on your child's journey with piano!
The semester includes 17 weekly classes and a recital on the 18th week, paid in five equal installments on the 1st of the month, August-December for fall semester and January-May for spring semester. Includes a practice binder and digital materials to use at home. An adult "coach" should attend with your child in order to be able to help them at-home practice. Please have access to an acoustic or full-sized digital piano in order to practice outside of class.
Ms. Wendy
Wendy Nutini is the Owner and Director of Tuneful Journey, teaching Kindermusik classes for children ages 0–7. With a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Iowa State University and 14 years of experience teaching instrumental music, she brings both expertise and a deep love for early childhood development. Known for her calm, nurturing approach, Wendy connects personally with each family and believes in the power of music and movement to spark growth, confidence, and joy.

Studio Policy
WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I, as the parent or legal guardian of the minor child(ren) identified in the enrollment form, understand that participation in classes and activities offered by WKMN Music, LLC d/b/a Tuneful Journey involves physical movement, group interaction, and the use of musical instruments and materials. Participation may carry inherent risks, including but not limited to accidental injury or exposure to illness, including airborne illnesses.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation for myself and my child(ren).
I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless WKMN Music, LLC d/b/a Tuneful Journey, including its owners, employees, contractors, and staff, from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in classes or related activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
By enrolling, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to these terms.
ENROLLMENT
The fall and spring semesters each include 14 weeks of classes, paid in four equal installments on the first of the month (September-December for fall and January-April for spring). Piano semesters are 18 weeks and 5 payment installments each, August-December and January-May. Enrollment is not month-to-month, nor does an installment equate to the cost of a full month’s classes. If enrolling after the start of the semester, tuition will be prorated accordingly or make-up classes can be arranged. No refunds are given for missed classes, but unlimited make-up classes are available (see below for more details). Summer classes and camps are also offered, but as separate enrollments.
MAKE-UP CLASSES
No refunds will be given for missed classes; however, you are welcome to unlimited make-up classes by attending another class section throughout the week! These can be scheduled through your account at my.kindermusik.com.
