Recurring Class
Need something for the whole family? Mixed Age classes are designed for little ones at different developmental levels to make music together. Families build connection, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.
Our "Carnival of Music" class will introduce your child to all the sights and sounds of a carnival as we pretend, play instruments, dance, read stories, and more! Our final class on June 28 includes a destination FIELD TRIP with extended time to the Story City Antique Carousel in Story City, IA! Also included is access to Kindermusik digital materials and music album.
Kindermusik Mixed Age
Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
Ms. Wendy
Wendy Nutini is thrilled to be the owner and director of Tuneful Journey! She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Iowa State University and has fourteen years of experience teaching middle school instrumental music in public schools. Her passion for teaching early childhood music became evident through her years of being a “Kindermusik mom” to her own children. Wendy loves being a part of the Ames community and genuinely believes in the importance of the Kindermusik curriculum, which supports whole-child development through song and play.

Studio Policy
WAIVER
I, as a parent/guardian of a minor child(ren) identified in the enrollment form, trust that Tuneful Journey does everything possible to keep us safe but am aware that participation in a physical group activity may result in accident or injury or transmission of an airborne illness (including COVID-19) and assume the risk. I release any and all rights and claims for damages against Tuneful Journey and its Staff in the event of injury or illness sustained by myself or my child(ren) during the course of my enrollment at Tuneful Journey.
ENROLLMENT
The fall and spring semesters each include 14 weeks of classes, paid in four equal installments on the first of the month (September-December for fall and January-April for spring). Piano semesters are 18 weeks and 5 payment installments each, August-December and January-May. Enrollment is not month-to-month, nor does an installment equate to the cost of a full month’s classes. If enrolling after the start of the semester, tuition will be prorated accordingly or make-up classes can be arranged. No refunds are given for missed classes, but unlimited make-up classes are available (see below for more details). Summer classes and camps are also offered, but as separate enrollments.
MAKE-UP CLASSES
No refunds will be given for missed classes; however, you are welcome to unlimited make-up classes by attending another class section throughout the week! These can be scheduled through your account at my.kindermusik.com.
