Studio Policy:

I, as a parent/guardian of a minor child(ren) identified in the enrollment form, trust that Early Childhood Music of Ames does everything possible to keep us safe but am aware that participation in physical activity may result in accident or injury and assume the risk. I release any and all rights and claims for damages against Early Childhood Music of Ames and its Staff in the unlikely event of injury sustained by myself or my child(ren) during the course of my enrollment at Early Childhood Music of Ames.

The fall and spring semesters each include 14 weeks of classes, paid in four equal installments on the first of the month (September-December for fall and January-April for spring). Enrollment is not month-to-month, nor does an installment equate to the cost of a full month’s classes. If enrolling after the start of the semester, tuition will be prorated accordingly or make-up classes can be arranged. No refunds are given for missed classes, but unlimited make-up classes are available (see below for more details). Summer classes and camps are also offered, but as separate enrollments.

All child and adult shoes should please be removed for classes. These may be stored in the cubbies or along the wall outside of the Kindermusik studio. Please also keep car seats and larger items outside of the studio so they do not take up room within our space. Diaper bags, purses, and smaller personal items may be hung on the hooks inside the studio.

No refunds will be given for missed classes; however, you are welcome to unlimited make-up classes! These can be arranged by attending another session throughout the week, and please email wendy.nutini@gmail.com to schedule. A make-up class will be scheduled if regular class is canceled due to teacher illness or inclement weather.

With each enrollment, you will receive a set of digital or physical materials (depending on the class). To enhance the overall learning experience, use these at home with your child as much as you can!

Please avoid bringing toys, food, or drinks into the studio. (An exception would be bottles/nursing for infants.) Kindly silence cell phones and avoid usage during class if at all possible.

Foundations, Level 1, and Level 2 classes can accommodate younger siblings who can remain content in an infant seat or “worn” and/or older siblings who can sit or work quietly in the studio. However, un-enrolled siblings will not be able to participate in the class. Family Time in Levels 3-5 welcomes all family members!

Special Directions

Located inside Harvest Vineyard Church. Use the east entrance (under the canopy), take the stairs up, and follow the hallway to find the studio in Room #212.

Jazz Kitchen Summer Camp

This exceptional camp takes jazz music into the kitchen with singing, dancing, instrument playing, drama, arts/crafts, food preparation and more! Your child will explore food in its many dimensions - shopping, dicing, preparing - all to the rhythms and sounds of jazz. There will even be time set aside to play the piano! A daily “recess” will be offered in the kids gym. Family members will join for last 10 minutes of each day.

Wendy Nutini

Wendy Nutini

Wendy Nutini is thrilled to be the owner and director of Early Childhood Music of Ames! She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Iowa State University and has fourteen years of experience teaching middle school instrumental music in public schools. Her passion for teaching early childhood music became evident through her years of being a “Kindermusik mom” to her own children. Wendy loves being a part of the Ames community and genuinely believes in the importance of the Kindermusik curriculum, which supports whole-child development through song and play.
