Studio Policy

Joyful Sounds Enrollment Information. While some information for our classes would be specific, our overall studio enrollment information is similar.

Class-Specific information is found at time of registration, and will also be sent out again before your first class.



Joyful Sounds Music Studio classes take place from September to June during our school year session. Summer sessions are developed if space allows - our main studio location is filled with summer campers weekly. Families enrolled in group classes such as Kindermusik, KeyNotes, Pop Academy & more at Joyful Sounds Music Studio will receive 39 weeks of instruction, performance & celebration time.



Bonus Classes:



Families are invited to take advantage of our unlimited Bonus Class feature if applicable to your class. Currently, all Kindermusik & KeyNotes classes have unlimited Bonus class options. Pop Academy Soundcheck Bands & Theory classes also have these options. While you are an actively enrolled family, you can access bonus classes if you miss your actual class for any reason. Kindermusik families do this via our family platform at my.kindermusik.com. All other group classes will need to contact our Front Desk Team to book bonus classes.



For Kindermusik: Sick? Away? Crazy Day? No problem! Simply log into the platform and see all bonus class options available and book yourself a seat in class. The Kindermusik Educator will be automatically notified that you plan to attend.



Cancelled Classes (Staff):



Sometimes our teachers get sick or are performing and need to cancel classes. In these cases, the family account will have a financial credit created that will apply directly to the next monthly payment.



Payment Structure:



Our school year runs from September to June, with a total of 39 instructional class and performance/celebration weeks. The cost of all 39 weeks is divided into 10 equal monthly payments from September to June. This way, families can plan ahead for consistent payments throughout the year. Payments are charged on the 1st of the month.



Unenrollment



Need to stop your enrollment? No problem! Simply let us know before the 1st of the month to avoid next month’s charges. Should you provide notice on the 1st or later, your enrollment will continue for that month, and be scheduled for unenrollment at the end of that month.

- Complimentary enrollment for any siblings ages 7+ into the Tree Lighting Vocal Group in November

- Priority registration & discounted rates for specialty classes and sessions, such as masterclasses, workshops, open mics and clubs

- Priority registration for any new opportunities, summer camps, and the next school year.

- Joyful Sounds' new Musicianship "Level-Up" Challenges for lessons & classes where applicable

- Kindermusik App bonus access. The Kindermusik App is an incredible resource for your family that keeps the learning and development going at home. Download the app for free. Once enrolled in our classes, bonus access will be unlocked related to your class experience.

- Complimentary unlimited Bonus Classes while enrolled (mostly Kindermusik & KeyNotes). These can be booked via my.kindermusik.com

- Complimentary enrollment into any “Grandfriends” Outreach classes held throughout the school year outside of our West Bedford Location
